• Weigh-In & Build Day: Saturday, Feb 21 | Help starts at 9:00 AM | All cars due by 3:00 PM. 
• Race Day: Wednesday, Feb 25 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Before you register, please understand the following mandatory requirements:

Official Kits:

1. OFFICIAL KITS ONLY: You must use the specific Official Awana Grand Prix Car Kit provided by the church. Cars made from other kits (Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Scouts, etc.) or pre-made cars bought online are NOT eligible to race.
2. STRICT SIZE & WEIGHT LIMITS:
   1. Max Weight: 5.0 ounces (strictly enforced).
   2. Max Length: 7 inches | Max Width: 2 ¾ inches | Max Height: 3 inches.
   3. Clearance: Must have ⅜ inch clearance underneath.
3. IMPOUND: All cars must be surrendered on Weigh-In Day (Feb 21). No cars may be taken home or modified after they pass inspection.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• Eligibility: This year’s Grand Prix is open exclusively to Sparks and T&T clubbers (Speed & Design).
• Speed Competition Race Format: The speed competition will follow a Double Elimination system, ensuring every submitted car races at least twice!
• Design Competition Format: Three judges from MFBC will review all submitted cars for Design evaluation per club on Originality, Workmanship, and Clubber effort.
• Car Kits & Availability:
  • Selection: You will select your kit type (Block, Stock, Indy, or Truck) at registration.
  • DEADLINE FOR KITS: We highly recommend registering by Wednesday, February 11.
  • Late Registration: If you register after Feb 11, we cannot guarantee your preferred kit type. You will only be able to choose from the inventory we have physically on hand (First come, first served).
  • Pickup: Kits will be available for pickup on Wednesday club nights.
• Weigh-In & Build Day (Saturday, Feb 21):
  • Weigh-In Deadline: All cars must be weighed, inspected, and turned in by 3:00 PM MT.
  • Build Assistance (9:00 AM Start): If you need help finishing your car (cutting, sanding, adding weights), builders will be available at MFBC starting at 9:00 AM.
  • Registration Required for Help: You must register for a build slot below if you plan to use this service.
• Awards:
  • Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in Speed and Design for both Sparks and T&T.
